So L’il + Booboniks = S.V.B.
Panda Riot
Electric Djinn
Season Finale

@ Studio Maya

Suite #103
603 Bergen Street
between Vanderbilt Avenue & Carlton Avenue
Brooklyn, NY 11238

doors at 7pm, show starts promptly at 8pm

So L’il + Booboniks = S.V.B. (Solilian Von Boobonika) - ambient hip hop straight from the rock, So L’il have been releasing music for the last decade, and shall continue to do so for the next. (Sharon’s last show before the baby too!) Booboniks are more stank than funk, and smell like they sound. Together they scream ‘Where’s my pickle!’

Panda Riot - from Chicago (!) blissful, swirl-pop, sing-along, sonar, breathy soprano wafts above dancy drum machine beats, blown-out guitar booms, and a keyboard plugged into a death metal pedal. Their music has been compared to Portishead, My Bloody Valentine, and The Swirlies, with a lot of hot. From half way cross the country, can’t see them very often round these parts and they’re AMAZING GLORIOUS BEAUTIFIC so come check ‘em out! For reals.

Electric Djinn - five former members of Lumipad and Drifting In the Cinema, led by the indefatigable Omnijenn, I.e. Veronika Sweet, I.e. Jennifer Berklich, I.e. the latest greatest electronic dance craze sweeping the nation via trombone and xylophones, & when not currently getting lost in paradise, skipping the light fandango, which all is to say, not to be missed.

Season Finale
- Fugazi meets Rush and dates Madonna, this trio, made up of former members of Pumpernickel and Penfold (and including the infamous Mark Ospovat, producer extraordinaire ala Emandee Studios) brings the progressive rock pop like nobodies business. Stuff this complex should not feel this good. (And if you haven’t experienced ‘the voice’, do so. Sexy Jewminicans singin in 3 octaves don’t cross your path everyday.)

$10 admission includes unlimited free beer and wine

Would love to see you out! Cheers!

The Low & The Lonesome
- 'born to wander through barbed wire and dead water', laying country & western music and wailing their heartache out, down by the Gowanus Canal, in the immortal words of Murray Hill, "The Low & the Lonesome, which started the Depression."

http://www.myspace.com/thelowandthelonesome

i feel tractor
- "Gimme back my wig" by Hound Dog Taylor suggests the type of shenanigans the 5 jesters who make up I Feel Tractor might get into, were they not busy rocking the garage folk, three new tracks of which ('Let's Go Outside', 'Crystal For Immortality', and 'North Dakota') you can hear here:
