October 31st, 2008, Halloween at The Poetry Project at St. Mark's Church

From The Poetry Project Website:
This Halloween, the Parish Hall will be host to a psychological orgy of mass proportions /distortions. A combination of ghosts past, present, and future shall invade the church, taking on the specters, mannerisms, clothes, poems, songs, dances, and performance art of favorites from yesteryear and tomorrow. Amongst the thus far confirmed (though special guests and surprise appearances will most certainly be the order of the evening) are the writer Chris Leo, the dancer Amy Baumgarten, the poet Nathaniel Siegal, the performance artist Jennifer Berklich, and the musical sounds of Gracefully. Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson will be present as well, though the 1986 versions. Please join guest host Ben Malkin of Gracefully (formerly So L'il) for this haunted and certainly magical evening. Come dressed as an other, living or gone.

ideas are birds is an audio-visual circus including dancers, principles of drifting in the cinema, so l’il, and ifwhen insane sonics, and crazy four-screen psychaflux films (visual-ys). should be gorgeous bliss, albeit fucked out of its mind. (monkey town is kind of amazing, with sofas along the walls, performers in the middle, and four movie screens above each wall.)
